Drawing on his experience as the curator and director of acquisitions at MONA (Museum of Old and New Art), Olivier Launched Monad Contemporary Art in 2018 to source and place quality artworks on behalf of individual collectors and art institutions.

Monad refers to the first being, divinity or the totality of all beings. The Monad begat the dyad, then from the dyad came the numbers, the numbers begat the point, then the line, then came the two-dimensional and three-dimensional entities and bodies, followed by the four elements, earth, fire, water and air, which the world is made of.

Monads are the ultimate elements of the universe.

The monads are "substantial forms of being" with the following properties: They are eternal, indecomposable, individual, subject to their own laws, un-interacting, and each reflecting the entire universe in a pre-established harmony.
